.::Number XIII growled as he turned from one side to the other on his bed, pulling his covers up to his chin and shutting his eyes tightly; he couldn’t sleep. What was wrong with him? So many different things had been happening lately… such as his best friends becoming particularly distant from him. He sighed in irritation, turning to lie flat on his back, bright blue eyes staring up at the ceiling. ::. “What’s… their problem?” .:: Roxas sat up, sliding off the side of the bed to sit on the floor with his back against it. The back of his head knocked against it. ::. “Friends don’t… keep things from each other, right?” .:: He could vaguely recall Axel saying something like that, using the memory to answer his question. ::. “Then why…?” .:: He didn’t want to think about it… Not now. The blonde flipped on the TV he’d gotten put into his room, switching on a video game to play in order to keep his mind off of his so-called friends. ::.
The eighth member gave a satisfied grunt as he scaled the wall, shadow falling on a nameless form sleeping in the window, it looked bulky, perhaps Xaldin but who wanted to see more of Sideburn Guy than need be? His lithe figure, cat like as he climbed freely was bathed in moonlight- something he'd had his fill of.
If there ever was a dead town- the Deep Dive had to be it. So deceptively glittery- and Axel liked shiny things, but when you started roaming, as he tended to do, you realized that a city populated by heartless could only be so interesting, even when under the influence of Larxene's famous Glo cocktails.
Whatsmore, living on a world populated by Nobodies was highly over rated- every time he turned a corner, he ran into another Nobody, another Organization Member, another blank canvas, like a puddle of dark water staring back at him coldly with his mirror image.
Xion...and...Roxas... were different...Anyway- the missions made up for it.
Maybe it’s not me then Axel said, biting his lip and forming the words in his mind with a responsive pout. Would much rather think it’s everybody else. Yep. Lets go with that.
As he scaled the second to last window in his stop he noticed something, movement, a mane of unruly red hair twitched in the thin, listless breeze as he crouched on the ledge, bathed by moonlight and leaned down, black cloak billowing as he stretched with arrogant grace, hanging backwards freely in the air, like a monkey and looking through a window. He smirked.
He knew he could get away with doing things like this.
But his sharp green eyes widened when he gazed into the room.
Wha? What’s the little man still doing awake?.Seems to me it’s way past his bed time!
After much temptation- he decided to wait, watching intently as the blonde boy's tired face became completely rapt with attention on the video game- washed in bright white light. Axel considered strutting in there and crowing at him to get some rest- but he knew Roxas wouldn’t appreciate being treated like a kid, something a lot of the others seem to miss, or more likely- ignore.
Gotta have your pride he thought, hanging from the ledge and crossing his arms
.:: Roxas tried to hold in a sneeze, but he couldn’t, effectively cringing and taking his eyes off the game for a moment. The sound of a low buzzer reached his ears, making his eyes snap back open, only to see the screen flash GAME OVER. ::. “Gaah!! I can’t even concentrate on a stupid game!” .:: He slumped down so low that he lied down on the floor, his head falling underneath the bed. His eyes closed, a dream he’d had before replaying behind his eyelids like a watching a movie of somebody else’s life. ::. “Who is that guy in red?” .:: The spiky brown-haired boy from his dreams constantly came to his mind. And who was Sora? Xemnas had said that he was the connection that linked Roxas and Xion together. His brain tried to make sense of it all, tried to figure out what was the idea behind everything, but he just couldn’t…
